I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what jerks rich Americans are. They are always whining about having to pay taxes and everyone else’s entitlement.

But how did the rich come to figure that they shouldn’t have to pay for anything? And how did they comes to be the ones always whining about how hard life is for them. My hope is that all rich people get a chance to see how hard life can be.

This is a very balanced article on the whole unionization via card check issue. The article spells out exactly what happens now and what would happen.

But card check is a horrible idea. It would allow unions to be formed via social pressure. “If you want a union just sign this card, if you don’t it’s no big deal but we’ll always remember that you didn’t support us.”

It’s typical “big union” trying to unionize everyone. And the author is right, politicians are just pretending to be interested in this to get votes. It’s not going to happen because it’s just plain bad policy.

I think it’s great that Maine has done this. Every state needs to do it. Especially since once you see what the bill actually does it seems a bit flimsy and you actually are left wanting a little more.

This is a great article that pretty much covers the bases of Obama’s health care reform mistakes. The administration admits that people are upset about health care reform becaus they don’t understand it and the administration doesn’t communicate well.

Yes, exactly.

This is a huge problem. The administration had a health care reform baby and now they don’t want to pay the babysitter. Too bad. That’s what they have to do.

So start talking. Because the more they stay silent, the more the Republicans can own this debate.

This article talks about how Mel Gibson has bipolar disorder, apparently, and wouldn’t it be great if he became a spokesperson for mental illness.

Well, if Mel Gibson is like any other Hollywood celebrities we’d have to first make sure that he didn’t just make up having bipolar disorder as an excuse. Because that’s what they all do, every time. I’m sure he’ll be going into rehab any day now for bipolar disorder.

The article is also very bizarre in that it takes a very simplistic view of what happens with the brain chemicals that “cause” bipolar disorder. I’m not saying dopamine doesn’t have anything to do with it, but if that’s all it was we would have a cure for mental illness.

But I’m sure Mel Gibson will be “cured”. This will have a very bad affect on the cause of mental illness. People will ask why the mentally ill don’t just get cured like Mel Gibson did.
